Day 1: EUROPE – ALMATY
Flight from Europe with TK via Istanbul and arrival in Almaty. Transfer to the hotel.

Day 2: ALMATY
City tour. Visit Panfilov Park – one of the oldest parks in Almaty, home to the Zenkov Wooden Cathedral and the “Monument of Glory.” Explore the sports, cultural, and business districts before heading to the Medeo Gorge, where the world’s highest ice rink and the mudflow dam are located. Next, ascend Kok-Tobe Hill, home to the city’s TV tower. The tour ends with a short cable car ride back to the city center.

Day 3: ALMATY – KAYNDY LAKE – SATY
Drive to Kayndy Lake. On the way, visit Charyn Canyon, often compared to the Grand Canyon in North America. Before reaching Kayndy, leave the vehicle and hike to the picturesque lake (horse riding available as an alternative). Return to the village of Saty.

Day 4: SATY – KOLSAI LAKE – KARAKOL
Drive to Kolsai Lake and explore the area (optional hiking). Continue the journey over the Sary Bulak Pass (3280 m) to Karakol, Kyrgyzstan, crossing the border en route. Upon arrival, visit the Dungan Mosque with its pagoda-style roof built entirely without nails, and the Russian Orthodox wooden church.

Day 5: KARAKOL – ALTYN ARASHAN – KARAKOL
Excursion in Soviet military vehicles to Altyn Arashan Gorge (“Golden Healing Spring,” 2500 m). Famous for its dense Tien Shan spruce forests and hot springs in a stunning mountain setting. Enjoy a picnic in the scenic valley. After hiking and lunch, relax in the natural spa.

Day 6: KARAKOL – AKSAI
Visit the Przhevalsky Museum, then continue to the famous Jeti Ögüz Gorge for a short panoramic hike and a visit to a traditional yurt. Stop at Skazka Canyon (“Fairy Tale”) to see red sandstone formations. Upon arrival in Aksai, enjoy a swim and a folklore show.

Day 7: AKSAI – KOCHKOR – SONG-KUL LAKE
Hike to panoramic views over the Ak-Sai canyons. Drive through wide plains and over the Kalmak Ashuu Pass (3450 m) to Song-Kul Lake, Kyrgyzstan’s second-largest and highest alpine lake. Upon arrival, enjoy the untouched nature and nomadic atmosphere.
2 nights in yurts at Song-Kul Lake.
Day 8: SONG-KUL LAKE
Today is dedicated to nomadic culture. Walk the vast steppe, meet local shepherd families, and experience traditional hospitality. Visit yurts, enjoy tea and dairy products, and learn about crafts and daily life. Traditional Kyrgyz dinner in a yurt.

Day 9: SONG-KUL LAKE – TOKTOGUL RESERVOIR
Drive to Central Asia’s largest reservoir. En route, admire the impressive Chychkan Gorge. Free time at the reservoir.

Day 10: TOKTOGUL – FERGHANA
Drive via Jalal-Abad to the fertile Fergana Valley in Uzbekistan, crossing the border.

Day 11: FERGHANA – MARGILAN – RISHTAN – KOKAND
Drive to Margilan, once the trading heart of the Kokand Kingdom. Visit a silk factory and local market. Continue to Rishtan, famous for its pottery, and visit a ceramics workshop. In Kokand, see the Palace of Khudayar Khan, Juma Mosque, and other monuments.

Day 12: KOKAND – TASHKENT
Drive to Tashkent. In Parkent, visit the Physics-Solar Institute and one of only two solar furnaces in the world.
2 nights in Tashkent.
Day 13: TASHKENT
Explore the Khast Imam Complex, home to the world’s oldest Quran, and the Chorsu Bazaar. Discover the modern city: Independence Square, Romanov Palace, Minor Mosque, Amir Timur Park, and metro stations. Optional opera or ballet at the theater.
Overnight in Tashkent.
Day 14: TASHKENT – KHUJAND
Cross the border at Oybek. In Khujand, visit the historical and ethnographic museum, Timur Malik Citadel, archaeological museum, Muslihiddin Mosque and Madrasa, and the bustling Payshanba Bazaar.

Day 15: KHUJAND – PENJIKENT
Drive through the Pamir Mountains to Penjikent. Visit the Rudaki Museum and the ruins of ancient Penjikent, including homes, a citadel, fire temples, and a bazaar.
2 nights in Penjikent.
Day 16: PENJIKENT – HAFKUL – PENJIKENT
Excursion to the Seven Lakes via the Sarazm settlement (UNESCO World Heritage Site). The lakes of Marguzor vary in color from turquoise to violet.

Day 17: PENJIKENT – SAMARKAND
Cross the border into Uzbekistan and continue to Samarkand. Visit Registan Square, surrounded by the Ulugbek, Shir Dor, and Tilla-Kari madrasas. See Gur Emir Mausoleum and Shah-i-Zinda necropolis.
2 nights in Samarkand.
Day 18: SAMARKAND
Continue the city tour: Ulugbek Observatory, Bibi-Khanym Mosque, a paper-making workshop, and Registan by night.
Overnight in Samarkand.
Day 19: SAMARKAND – BUKHARA
Take the train to Bukhara. Tour the Ark Citadel, Bolo Haouz Mosque, Ismail Samani Mausoleum, and Chor Minor gatehouse. Visit the Poi Kalon ensemble: Kalon Minaret, Mir-i-Arab Madrasa, and Kalon Mosque.
2 nights in Bukhara.
Day 20: BUKHARA
Explore more sites: Magoki-Attori Mosque, Ulugbek and Abdulaziz Khan madrasas, three historic trading domes, and the Labi Hauz Complex with monuments like Nodir Devon Begi and Kukeldash madrasas.

Day 21: BUKHARA – KHIVA
Free time until midday. Then drive through the Kyzylkum Desert to Khiva, crossing the Amu Darya river. Optional short walk in the desert and lunch stop.

Explore the UNESCO-listed inner city of Khiva: Kunya Ark citadel, Pahlavan Mahmud Mausoleum, Amin Khan Madrasa, Kalta Minor Minaret, Juma Mosque, Harem Courtyard, Islam Khodja Minaret and Madrasa.

Full-day tour: modern Ashgabat, National Museum, archaeological site of Nisa.
