Day 2: BISHKEK AND ALA-ARCHA NATIONAL PARK
Excursion to the famous Ala-Archa National Park, an alpine natural paradise in the impressive Tian-Shan Mountains. The majestic landscape with its snow-capped peaks, deep green valleys, and clear mountain rivers invites you to a two-hour hike to the “Broken Heart” rock formation. The hike offers spectacular views and a first intense impression of Kyrgyzstan’s natural beauty. After returning to Bishkek, explore the greenest capital of Central Asia. The sightseeing program includes, among others, the Philharmonie, the Victory Monument, the Oak Park, the central Ala-Too Square, the Kurmanjan Datka Monument, government buildings, the Old Square with the parliament building, and the Lenin statue.

Day 3: BISHKEK – CHON KEMIN
Drive to the Chon Kemin Valley with its national park. In the fertile Chu Valley, stop in the town of Tokmok to visit the Burana Tower, a minaret from the 10th century. The site is surrounded by the ruins of a mausoleum, a collection of ancient petroglyphs, and stone steles with fine stonework from Turkic culture. Continue through the impressive landscape of the Tian-Shan Mountains to reach the Chon-Kemin Valley – a pristine paradise with green meadows, forested hills, and majestic mountain ranges. Here, you have the opportunity to enjoy the tranquility of nature, go horseback riding, or take short walks in the picturesque surroundings.

Day 4: CHON KEMIN – CHOLPON ATA
Drive to Cholpon Ata with a stop for a swim in Balikchi. Just before Cholpon Ata, see an open-air “atelier” from the Scythian era. On a large field, discover countless rock carvings. Upon arrival, enjoy the option of a boat ride on the lake.

Day 5: CHOLPON ATA – KARAKOL
Today, visit the Rukh Ordo Cultural Center – an intercultural open-air museum symbolizing Kyrgyz traditions and religious tolerance. Five chapels represent the world’s major religions side by side. Here, learn valuable insights about Chingiz Aytmatov and his works through images. Then, the caravan heads to Karakol. Pass through two stunning high mountain gorges. The Grigoriev Gorge is a long valley with crystal-clear rivers, alpine vegetation, and a peaceful atmosphere inviting reflection. Before the next gorge, experience the Kyrchan Plateau – a scenic region stretching like a green oasis between the gorges, offering a walking opportunity. The Semenov Gorge, deeply cut into the foothills of the Tian Shan, reveals a scene of dense spruce forests, rushing mountain streams, and expansive emerald alpine meadows. Before the final stop, visit a horse breeding farm.

Day 6: KARAKOL – ALTYN ARASHAN – KARAKOL
Excursion with Russian military vehicles to the Altyn Arashan Gorge (“Golden Healing Spring”). It is famous for its dense Tian-Shan fir forests and hot thermal springs amid breathtaking mountain scenery. After a hike and lunch, relax with a healthy bath in a simple “spa” – a soothing retreat in nature. Return to Karakol.

Day 7: KARAKOL – AKSAI
Visit the Przhevalsky Museum, the Dungan Mosque in pagoda style with a floating roof built without a single nail, and the Russian Orthodox wooden church. Then drive to the famous Jeti Ögüz Gorge, where a 20-minute ascent offers a dreamy panorama and a visit to a traditional yurt. En route, stop at the Skazka Canyon (“Fairy Tale”) due to its enchanting mountain landscape with fantastic red sandstone erosion forms, and take a dip at the wild beach upon arrival in Aksai. Day 8: AKSAI – KOCHKAR – SONGKOL LAKE
Hike to a panoramic viewpoint over the Ak-Sai Canyons. Then enjoy a scenic drive through vast plains and over the spectacular Qalmaq Ashuu Pass (3,450 m) to Kyrgyzstan’s second-largest lake – the Songkul Lake, a true jewel amid the mountains. Located above 3,000 meters, it is the country’s highest alpine lake. Upon arrival at the lake, take time to enjoy the untouched nature, vast silence, and authentic nomad life.

Day 9: SONGKOL LAKE
Today is dedicated entirely to nomad culture. Take a walk through the expansive area around Songkul Lake, where you can connect authentically with shepherd families. This is a rare opportunity to experience the daily life of Kyrgyz nomads up close. The locals are known for their sincere hospitality – they gladly invite visitors into their yurts, offering fresh tea, bread, and traditional dairy products. For nomads, the principle is: “A guest is a gift from God.” Here, every stranger is treated like a friend. Learn more about traditional values, lifestyle, craftsmanship, and, if you wish, even help with daily tasks. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Kyrgyz dinner in the yurts – with homemade specialties and a cozy atmosphere by the stove.

Day 10: SONGKOL LAKE – KAZARMAN
Departure to Kazarman. The drive descends from the high plateau over the spectacular Moldo-Ashuu Pass (3,220 m) – enjoy grand views of Kyrgyzstan’s mountains and valleys en route. Then follow the course of the Naryn River and reach the remote village of Kazarman in the afternoon. A walk through the simple, authentic village on the riverbank provides an impression of the quiet, traditional life in rural Kyrgyzstan.

Day 11: KAZARMAN – UZGEN – OSH
Continue your journey toward Osh today. The road is partially unpaved and crosses the scenic Kaldama Pass (3,000 m). Enjoy panoramic views of mountain ranges, grazing animals, and remote valleys en route. Stop in Uzgen to see an ancient minaret and three mausoleums from the 11th century. Upon arrival in Osh, take a walk to the famous Suleiman Too. Suleiman Too (Solomon’s Mountain) lies in the city center and is a pilgrimage site for local Muslims. Legend has it that the biblical prophet Solomon (Suleiman in the Quran) was buried at its base. The city is also known for its bazaar, which you’ll visit.

Day 12: OSH – FERGHANA
Drive to Ferghana with a border crossing. Upon arrival, time to relax and take a walk.

Day 13: FERGHANA – MARGHILAN – RISHTAN – KOKAND
Drive to Margilan, a medieval trading center of the Kokand Kingdom. Visit a silk factory and stroll through the market. Continue to Rishtan to explore the region’s pottery center, visiting a pottery workshop and learning about typical ceramic techniques. The next stop is Kokand. There, tour the majestic Khudayarkhan Palace – the last bastion of the once-powerful empire that ruled Central Asia until the mid-19th century. Then see the Juma Friday Mosque, built in the 18th century in the city center and the main Friday mosque in medieval times.

Day 14: KOKAND – TASHKENT
Midday train ride over the mountains to Tashkent. Transfer to the hotel. If the schedule permits, experience an opera or ballet performance at the theater.

Day 15: TASHKENT
After a turbulent history, Tashkent developed into a renowned craft center in the 16th century. Extensive trade relations brought the city prosperity and prestige. The tour of the Khast Imam Complex with the world’s oldest Quran, and a visit to the Chorsu Bazaar, will prepare you for the days ahead. The itinerary also includes the new town, including Independence Square with the Romanov Palace, Amir Timur Park, and the metro. In the afternoon, visit the Physics Solar Institute in Parkent. Learn about the workings of the solar laboratory and why this area of Uzbekistan was chosen for the famous solar furnace, one of only two in the world. See up close the heliostats directing their rays onto a giant concentrator of 10,700 mirror elements.

Day 16: TASHKENT – SAMARKAND
Train journey to Samarkand. Pass large fruit and vegetable plantations en route. Samarkand is considered one of the oldest cities in the world and was a significant trading hub and capital of the Timurid Empire in the Middle Ages. On the first exploration day, your guide will take you to the Gur Emir Mausoleum, the Shah-i-Zinda necropolis, and the Registan. Samarkand’s historical structures are part of the UNESCO World Heritage.

Day 17: SAMARKAND
Today’s program includes visits to: the Ulugbek Observatory, the breathtaking Bibi-Khanum Mosque, a paper manufactory, and the Registan Square under night lighting.

Day 18: SAMARKAND – BUKHARA
Train journey to Bukhara. In this UNESCO city, enjoy an exciting program: the Ark Citadel, the Bolo Hauz Mosque, the Ismail Samani Mausoleum, and the unusually beautiful Chor Minor gatehouse. The Poi-Kalon Ensemble impresses with the Kalon Minaret, Mir Arab Madrasa, and Kalon Mosque.

Day 19: BUKHARA
Other highlights on your tour include the Magoki-Attori Mosque, the opposing Ulugbek and Abdulaziz Khan Madrasas, and three historical domed bazaars. At the Labi Hauz Complex, the central water basin provides refreshment, with additional monuments concentrated here, such as Nodir Devon Begi and Kukeldash Madrasas.

Day 20: BUKHARA – KHIVA
Free time until noon. Then the caravan heads to Khiva. Like Mongolian riders of old, you’ll pass oases in the Kizilkum Desert, crossing Central Asia’s largest river. En route, you’ll have the opportunity for a short individual desert hike and to eat fish at a rest stop. Arrive in the oasis city of Khiva by evening.

Day 21: KHIVA
Another UNESCO city awaits with an intensive tour. You’ll see, among others, the Kunya Ark Citadel, the Pahlavan Mahmud Mausoleum, the Amin Khan Madrasa, the unfinished minaret, the Juma Friday Mosque, the harem courtyard, the Islom Khodja Minaret, and Madrasa.
